The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Turkey has introduced a new arrangement at the border posts of the Republic of Turkey for international road transport operations performed by vehicles composed of “tractors and trailers/semi-trailers”.

 

According to the new arrangement, international transport vehicles with foreign license plates which do not have ECMT licences will be required to have  license plates issued by the same country for both tractors and trailers/semi-trailers.

 

Thus, the vehicles whose tractors and trailers/semi-trailers are registered in two different countries and which have permits other than the ECMT licenses shall not be allowed to enter/exit through the border posts of the Republic of Turkey as of 01.09.2008.
